Oklahoma City, Okla.- The Mid-America Christian Evangels have added junior transfer Josh Minner and freshman Jarius Wilson into the program for the upcoming 2011-12 season.

Minner earned All-Conference and All-Region honors while at Mineral Area Community College.

In high school, Minner helped the New Madrid County Central Panthers to the state quarterfinal round three times while notching All-State, All-Conference and All-District selections. Minner anticipates majoring in business at MACU.

"I am excited about having Josh join the team," head coach Willie Holley said. "He is a high character young man with exceptional basketball skills. He will bring aggressiveness on the boards, toughness on the defensive side of the ball and tremendous energy to the game."

Wilson scored 12 points a game for the Duncanville HS Panthers and helped them advance to the second round of the state tournament, where they were defeated by eventual 5A state champion Flower Mound Marcus.

A solid student-athlete, Wilson was a recipient of the Texas Scholar Award. He plans to major in business administration at MACU.

"Jarius is very talented young man who loves the game of basketball," Holley said. "He will bring a tremendous work ethic, court awareness and unselfish play to the team."
