Brown’s scored three goals before the half, scoring at the 18th, 24th and 28 minute marks. After a SW Christian goal in the 77th minute on a penalty kick, Northwestern’s Christina Nunez netted a goal with six minutes left, giving the Rangers the eventual 5-1 win and improved Northwestern to 3-4 on the season. Christina Nunez was credited with two assists, while Taylor Clark and Gabriella Hernandez each had one. Northwestern took a season-high 36 shots, while the opposition took just five. The Rangers (3-4) begin its Sooner Athletic Conference portion of the schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 28 when they travel to John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark. for a 3 p.m. match. The Eagles (1-7-1) look to rebound Saturday afternoon as Wayland Baptist University (Texas) visits Bethany. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on the Southwestern Christian campus.
