RICHARDSON, Texas (May 19) – Central Oklahoma’s Alina Istrate and Lacey Rhodes have both been named to the All-Lone Star Conference Women’s Track and Field Team, the league office announced.
Student-athletes must win an event or score at least 14 points at the LSC Championships to earn All-LSC honors.
Istrate scored 16 points with runner-up finishes in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and 5,000-meter run, while Rhodes captured the high jump title in addition to finishing fifth in the long jump in scoring 14.5 points.
The Bronchos finished sixth in the team competition.
Rhodes will be UCO’s lone representative in the NCAA Division II Women’s Track and Field Championships on May 26-28 in Turlock, Calif., qualifying in the high jump.
